Our creative studio and project delivery team worked with British Swimming, the IPC and sponsors to deliver a fully integrated event.
We won a competitive tender for the creative and delivery of the Look at Tollcross International Swimming Centre by crafting a bold and dramatic graphic that would sit comfortably beside and elevate the IPC Glasgow 2015 logo. Taking its origins from an explosive spark of energy, the Look and Feel is based around the powerful notion of fire meeting water. Fire, the inner passion of the Paralympic athletes, and water, the intensity of their ambition in overcoming obstacles in order to win. The look celebrates Glasgow with its unrivalled warm welcoming atmosphere and passion for swimming, embracing everyone with its swirling energy and colour.
Working closely with the client and project managers, the Creative team have been embedded in the delivery process from end-to-end, from the first steps of conceptualising the strategy behind the look, developing the creative, identifying areas within the venue for the most effective use of branding right through to artworking and the final install. This seamless integration of creative and delivery is another example of CSM Live’s continuing demonstration of its wider range of capabilities to its clients.
We defined, designed and delivered the end-to-end process from scoping the venue, designing the Look and Feel of the event to the installation and de-rig. Working closely with the client and project managers, the creative team was embedded in the delivery process from start to finish.
There were some stunning statement pieces in and around the venue. A mega banner was the impactful backdrop to the medal podium. It is a fabric graphic system that can be used again and again, even as a lightbox.
