Icon is committed to reducing waste across all our business operations and supply chain whilst working with our waste assessment team who have identified which waste streams can be recycled, responsibly disposed of or re-purposed as appropriate.

All materials are selected from approved suppliers using secondary materials (with minimal or no packaging) that can be re-used, re-purposed or recycled.Where we have hired materials, we use local and sustainability code compliant hire companies to ensure we minimise our impact.

All materials are ‘fit for purpose’, and within budget.

We actively and publicly participate in local environmental business networks to learn how we could achieve more re-use and re-purposing.

We support emerging, local sustainable organisations with useful materials and promotion.

Where possible we lower the transport impact of treating waste materials.

To minimise health and safety issues our up-cycling generally involves no additional inks or dyes and no emissions from treatment, usually working with materials as they are found.

We work to change the way materials are handled to avoid the need for packaging and reduce the amount of packaging that’s actually used, if practical, particularly secondary and tertiary applications.
