John has amassed over 15 years experience in the Project and Account Management areas of sport events. He was instrumental in securing work with a number of high profile annual events including UEFA Champions League, FIFA World Cup, Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships, Ryder Cup and a number of European Tour Golf Tournaments. A qualified Management Accountant, John’s true talent lies in building the successful teams to deliver event requirements |
Since setting up SLS in 1994 Giles has been involved in numerous world-class events, a key player in the delivery of temporary event facilities, city centre dressing and activation schemes. Giles was the key contractor to the Liverpool Capital of Culture ‘look’ programme and, having also worked on both Manchester and Melbourne Commonwealth Games, his primary focus is to maximize the visitor experience. |
Keith Goodwin is Icon’s Deputy Managing Director, a role he has held since 1994, when his previous company Speedway Signs was acquired by Icon. Keith has 24 years experience in the branding industry encompassing the full spectrum from Sales to Production and Installation. During this time he has delivered major projects such as the branding of the Millennium Dome roof for London 2012’s Back the Bid campaign and more recently the Aviva Big Picture campaign, wrapping buildings around the globe. Keith has an Education degree from the University of London and post qualifying Diplomas in Children with Learning Difficulties and Residential Social Work. |
Andrew joined Icon in May 1982, helping to sell and account manage the company’s UK sports event portfolio. Prior to this he enjoyed brief spells in banking and publishing. Having progressed through Icon’s sales department Andrew joined the Board in 1994, and has since played a large role in developing Icon’s overseas contracts including the UEFA Champions League and FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010. Now engaged primarily in driving the company’s new business and marketing initiatives, Andrew still retains an active involvement in the company’s key accounts, applying the benefits of nearly 30 years of experience in the industry. |
Sally-Ann has over 15 years experience in the Sport Marketing and Sponsorship business. Prior to joining Icon, she worked at a leading London agency, managing all of their clients’ branding and signage requirements, which involved direct liaison with Governing Bodies, Venues and Sponsors at the highest levels. Covering a variety of multi-location, multi-event sports - Sally-Ann is also experienced at handling production requirements for high profile brands. Sally-Ann brings a creative and fresh outlook to any project. Her main strengths lie in logistics, team management and high level negotiations. Her role involves management of a portfolio of projects which deliver strategic change and measurable business benefit to the client, ensuring that realistic estimates of cost, timescales and resource requirements are agreed and established and ratifying that procedures and controls are in place. |
Dave joined the Board of Icon in 2008, having previously run his own document scanning business. Dave has successfully managed the company's MBO in October 2008 and subsequent to that the purchase of event production specialist the MEI Group in November 2009. In control of all the company's finances, Dave also has a management responsibility for Icon's overseas offices in the Middle East, South Africa and India. |
